Everyone deserves a gift under the tree, especially moms! In cooperation with Manna House, we are providing gifts for moms at Christmas. These ladies are visitors of Manna House that provide the maternal role in their household. Our goal is to make 125 gift bags. Like last year, we are not collecting individual items. Instead, all are asked to make a complete gift, start to finish. Below are some step-by-step suggestions for making a “mom bag”.
- Purchase your 7-8 gift items. Recommended items include shampoo and conditioner; body wash and lotion; nail polish; jar candles; jewelry; activity books; perfume; pocket hand lotions or sanitizers; make-up; scarves; and gloves.
- Choose your bag. You can use a gift bag or a new/gently-used purse or tote.
- Package your gift. Place your gift items in your chosen bag, use tissue paper to finish it off and voile! Beautiful!
- Bring your wrapped gift to St. Mark’s. In order to get all the gifts to Manna House before Christmas, please bring your gift bag by Wednesday, December 13.
