There’s a lot happening at St. Mark’s in the week leading up to Easter! See how you can get involved!
- Sunday, April 13 – Palm Sunday
- Sunday Learning, 9:15am
- Worship, 10:30am
- First Communion Class, 1pm
- Targeted primarily towards our fourth and fifth graders. Any others who are ready for their first communion are welcome, please let Traci know if you are interested. Class time is approximately 2 hours. We will celebrate each of these students and honor this rite of passage on Maundy Thursday at the Seder Meal and at worship.
- Thursday, April 17 – Maundy Thursday
- Seder Meal, 5:30pm
- Join us for our version of a Passover Seder, a ritual meal in celebration of the Last Supper (and our First Communicants!) In addition to more traditional elements like wine, unleavened bread and haroseth, the menu will include marinated chicken or roasted lamb, side, and salad. Tickets for the event must be pre-purchased. Cost: $10 each. Tickets are available through March 24 in the church office during the week and in the narthex on Sundays.
- Evening Worship Service, 7pm
- Seder Meal, 5:30pm
- Friday, April 18 – Good Friday
- Tenebrae Worship Service, 7pm
- Sunday, April 20 – Easter Sunday
- Easter Breakfast, 9 – 10am
- Join us for a full meal including egg casseroles, pancakes, bacon, biscuits, fruit, and pastries. If you would like to help out prior, during, or after the event, sign up by calling the church office. Any proceeds from the breakfast will go towards the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering.
- Worship & Flowering of the Cross, 10:30am
- All are invited to bring fresh-cut flowers to help flower the cross during worship! Similar to years past, the cross, having been brought into the sanctuary on Good Friday, will “blossom and come to life” as everyone is invited to add flowers as they come up for communion.
- Easter Breakfast, 9 – 10am
