Dear St. Mark’s church family,
Our interim, Pastor Diana Bottin, will be away for a period of bereavement through April 9, followed by an already planned week of vacation from April 10 through 16. Beginning with the Palm Sunday service, the Council voted to continue the Unity Service format for each Sunday worship through the end of summer. There were already plans to return to Unity services in the summer as usual, and rather than going back and forth from two services to one for basically a month, the Council approved staying with a Unity service until the end of summer to minimize confusion.
Please mark your calendars and ensure your friends receive this message. The Board of Worship is planning a congregational survey later this spring to help determine if we will return to two services in the autumn or maintain a Unity format.
Sunday Morning Times:
- 9:00 am – 10:00 am: Sunday Learning
- 10:00 am – 10:30 am: Coffee Fellowship
- 10:30 am: Blended Unity Service
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate this Holy Season and the weeks beyond with interim and supply pastors. Have faith that God is preparing the way for a new minister to receive our call and further the work of St. Mark’s in the community.
Wishing you happiness and God’s peace in this Easter season!
Robert Burkhardt, Council President
