In the past decade, we have worked with the area Lutheran churches to put together over 100 meal bags to share with the community for Thanksgiving. Each Lutheran church takes up a collection of specific items needed for the meal bags. New this year, we are shifting our focus slightly to encompass the whole holiday season – using small hams instead of turkeys. This should make the meals easier to prepare for those who need them.
Along with donations and volunteers from other area Lutheran churches, we will be assembling these holiday meals on November 20 at 4 pm right here at St. Mark’s. Help with packing is always appreciated and it is a great opportunity to connect with other Lutherans in our community!
